Abstract submissions to IBS DAYS 2022 will start on February 28 and will close on April 26, 2022 at 11:59 pm CET.
The abstract submission process is a simple 3 step process.
The abstract content must be provided as a .doc or .rtf file without including title, authors and affiliations that will be provided directly in the submission process steps.
Other specific instructions will be available during the submission process.

For Oral Presentations postgraduate students, research assistants, postdoctoral fellows, mid-career research fellows and clinicians are invited to submit. This is a unique opportunity to showcase your research to fellow researchers in the field of neurogastroenterology and motility.
Abstracts selected for Oral Presentation will be presented on June 21, 2022 during the afternoon Workshop parallel sessions.
Each oral presentation has a 15 minute allotted time (10 minute presentation and 5 minute discussion).
Each oral presenter is kindly requested to disclose any conflict of interest in the slide which has to follow the title slide. Please download the DISCLOSURE slide template here.
Every effort is made also to ensure the optimal environment for Poster Presentations, in order to allow your work to get the best possible and highest quality exposure.
Before starting to submit your abstract, please read the guidelines carefully and prepare the following information:
A title that clearly indicates the nature of the investigation needs to be provided. Abbreviations should be avoided in the abstract title but may be used in the text, if they are defined at first usage. The authors’ names (full first names, family names) and places of work (Institution, City, Country) will be shown in one row.
The abstract should be as informative as possible:
• State the specific objective of the study
• State the methods used
• Summarise the results obtained
• State the conclusions reached
Please ensure that your abstract does not contain spelling, grammatical or scientific errors, as it will be published on printed matters exactly as submitted.
A maximum of 10 authors can be added during submission of your abstract. In case there are more than 10 authors, please use a group name.
The Poster Session offers an effective forum for the exchange of information and a means to communicate ideas, research and programmes.
Posters can be affixed starting from June 20, 2022 afternoon (until 5.30 pm) and should be available for viewing starting from June 21, 2022 at 9:00 am, they will be discussed on June 21, 2022 during the Lunch Break and can be available for viewing also on June 22, 2022 until the end f the Meeting.
Poster Presenters are kindly requested to be at their Poster between 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm. Members of the Scientific Commitee will evaluate Posters during this timeslot for selection of Poster Awards.
Selected Award winners will be communicated on June 22, 2022 at 1:05 pm in plenary session.
The printed Posters should measure 70 cm width x 100 cm heigth.
Authors are kindly requested to follow the instructions in the acceptance letter.
The assigned number will be found on each board in the poster area.
Posters can be affixed starting from June 20, 2022 and should be available for viewing starting from June 21, 2022 at 9.00 am, they will be discussed on June 21, 2022 during the Lunch Break and can be available for viewing also on June 22, 2022 until the end of the Meeting.
They have to be removed by June 22, 2022 at 1.00 pm. Posters that won’t be removed by the indicated time will be disposed of.
Poster material to affix the posters will be available on site, please ask the Organizing Secretariat Desk upon your arrival.
There will be prizes for the three best Oral Presentations. Selected Award winners will be communicated on June 22 at 1:05 pm in the plenary session. Awardees will receive a certificate by email after the event.
